Today was the zoo day! I wanted to go to the Taranga zoo to see a platypus. To get there I had to take a ferry ride across Sydney Harbour. I got ready, ate breakfast, and hopped on the bus to take me to Circular Quay. It was my first sighting of the Opera House and Bridge. I met a nice Aussie family on the warf while we were waiting for our fairies. Once I was on board I was taking pictures and another American asked if I would like one with me in it. I said yes and he and I started talking. Nick was travelling with his brother, Trevor, and girlfriend, Megan. Megan invited me to walk around the zoo with them. It was a lot of fun!

We got a very short tour of Darling Harbour on our way back to Sydney Proper. We decided to wonder around the city a bit before heading back to our hostels. We walked up to the Sydney tower but didn't go to the top. Then we found St. Mary's Cathedral and toured that. It was very beautiful on the inside but we were not allowed to take photographs.
We were all pretty tired so we said good bye and headed to our different hostels. I relaxed the rest of evening, trying to catch up on sleep!
