Mother's Day

I got up early this morning to talk to my parents and wish my mom a Happy Mother's day. Then I called a talked to Eric. He was a family party, so I got to watch the kids try to break a piñata for 30 minutes. It is amazing how technology lets me still be connected to everything back home!

Then it was time for church. It was the later service today, so afterwards it was time for lunch. Ben's family invited me out for lunch to celebrate mother's day. At first I felt like it would be rude for me to come, but his family insisted. We went to the Balls Club and had the Mother's Day buffet lunch of lamb, veggies, and an assortment of desserts. It was a wonderful lunch! I really do feel like part of a big family being here. 

Then it was time for me to head back to uni. I picked up a new camera on the way home. It will hopefully tide me over until I can get a new underwater camera. After all the camera shenanigans I was ready for a nap. I once again have a head cold (thanks to winter coming and living in a dorm), so I have been sleeping a lot. 

This evening Alix and I went to a concert. Morgan Pumpa, one of our friends, won tickets and she gifted them to us. We were excited but unsure if we were going to like the concert. Well, to our surprise... WE LOVED IT!!

The opening band was Patrick James... I loved his voice!!!!

Then the main set was Boys and Bear

It was a great concert! Alix and I had a great time and were so thankful to Morgan. She is the best!
