It was still dark wen I woke up for the train. It had rained earlier in the morning and had started lightly misting when I walked over to Alix's house. Alix and her housemate, Sarah, and I all started to walk to the train platform with the light mist continuing. Halfway there... it was pouring. By the time we got onto the platform we, along with our bags, were soaked. Some other uni students were there too. When the train finally arrived the conductor had a good chuckle when he saw us. Sarah and I changed into dry clothes on the train as we watched it continue to rain.
We talked and napped along our way to Melbourne. Arriving in the Southern Cross Station we were greeted by large posters of David Beckham modelling underwear. The girls admired and the gents rolled their eyes. After getting through all the queues we made it our to the food court. Daniel felt left our of the rollie suitcase club so he drug his bag on the floor.
Food was the number 1 priority after the toilets, so we ate at Grilled. I got the summer sunset burger...
We all sat and ate then said our good- byes heading off too our separate buses.
Alix and I were off to the airport. Our flight wasn't supposed to leave until 8pm, but Jon, our wonderfully awesome check-in guy, got us on to an earlier flight! He rocks! Alix and I then only had 5 hours to burn. Luckily, the internet was free and unending. We also walked around the airport and chatted.
The flight was smooth and easy. Arriving in Perth we took a taxi to the hostel. After we were settled we walked around a bit to stretch our legs before settling into bed.
