Resting Time

Friday September 12th, 2014

It was a very lazy day. Ben was sick so we weren't able to do whale watching. I did some laundry and just relaxed. In the evening we watched a movie on TV before bed. 

Saturday September 13th, 2014

I got up early to do some volunteer work. Cal invited me to come help with Estuary Watch. It was a beautiful morning. We travelled to Peterborough to do it. I was very excited to see a wallaby along the way. Liam wasn't though... he had to worry about them jumping out. We made it safely.

We had a friend come a join us. We later learned he had jumped out of the back of the ute and escaped to come get attention from us. I wasn't complaining. He, Jack, was so cute. 

Then we headed over to the break wall and cleaned up rubbish. It was great because even people just walking along the beach walk joined in. A little girl came running up to me and said "here is some more rubbish." It was super cute!

Once we were back on uni, I headed over to Lianna's to hang out for a bit. Eventually, we wondered over to meet Chris's mom Kathy. We chatted for awhile and then she invited us over to celebrate Chris's birthday! 

Kathy made us all meatloaf. It was great to have some mama food. We all felt like one big family. Chris enjoyed his birthday gifts too. I was a great evening! 

I headed to bed early to get some sleep before the half marathon.
