Saturday
Saturday
When I woke up I was worried I had pink eye but my mom "took a look at me" (through FaceTime) and said it was probably allergies. After I got off the phone with my family, I took a ride down to the Chemist. It was good I had written down the chemical name and not the brand name of medicine because Benadryl here is actually called Snuzaid. It is marketed as a sleeping medication. Whatever it is called, it worked!
Around 11, Sam, Emily and I went down to Logan's beach to whale watch. We saw...
We did eventually see a whale. I was jumping up and down I was so excited. I only saw it come to the surface and exhale for a few seconds, but I SAW A WHALE!!!
I cannot wait until more whales come in. I am going to whale watching training on Monday, so I can help record data on the whales!
Later in the afternoon, Nick, Emily and I were off to Bendigo for Lauren's 21st birthday party! It was a long 4 hour ride but we eventually got there.
It was a very rainy night to celebrate her birthday, but her bright spirit kept the life of the party going. All of us from Warrnambool ended up turning in early, while Lauren went out in Bendigo with some of her other friends.
Sunday
We made the trek home through the rain. I got to see a lot of the Australian country side. It is very beautiful. The little shires remind me of England (go figure). It feel like you have stepped back into an earlier simpler time.
We all ended up taking a nap once we got home. Then I watched the Sunday Footy and caught up on Pinterest the rest of the evening.
