When 7.1 = 13

Friday August 8th, 2014

There were no whales when Jackie, Ben, and I went whale watching. We did see one seal though! When I got back to Uni I got to talk to Eric for awhile before heading out to get my fishing licence. Ben, his dad, and I headed over to Trevor's to get the boat ready to go tuna fishing on Sunday. We helped a little bit,  but most of the afternoon was listening to Trevor tell his fishing stories! It was fun. Then I had to get back to uni to get everyone rounded up to go to the game night. It was everyone from small group with a few extra Aussies and Americans.

It was a fun night with great company! I found out I am not as good as I used to be on N64.

It was very chilly when I woke up and I was not in the mood to go for a run. I started cleaning my room and talking to Beck. Eventually, I decided to run to her house. I did a google map to find my running route and it said it was 7.1km. I knew that wouldn't be to much of a problem, so off I went. When I was running to my first turn I realised the road didn't exist. So I had to run a little extra to double back onto the right street. Eventually I had to call Beck to make sure I was still going the right way. I ended up running past the street I was going to turn on. I ran all the way to the Warrnambool city limits before I called her back to double check the road name. Then I knew where I was. I eventually got there after about an hour of running. A 7.1 km run turned into a 13 km run.

Once I got there Louie, her dog, was there to greet me with a bark and lots of kisses. I think he just liked all the salt. We sat and talked until her cousin Josh came home. He has a motorcycle (motor bike) and I asked if he had a second helmet. He did and asked if I wanted to go for a ride. I was in. I had to borrow a jumper from Beck before we were off.

I was a little nervous, but Beck said "all you have to do is hold on like a baby koala." And Josh added that I need to lean the same way he did. It was a lot of fun. We just went around the block but an experience none the less. Afterwards, Beck came to uni to meet my fish and I showered quick so we could go out for liner (lunch/ dinner). It was a very fun and relaxing afternoon with Beck. Anytime we are around each other we just giggle and laugh. She is my Aussie half.

I got to do some laundry before going to get food supplies for fishing. I had a glass of wine with Ben's family before coming back for a movie night at uni!
